Wonder Academy
At Wonder Academy, we believe childhood is not something to rush through.
Children are naturally curious, capable, and driven to learn — not through pressure or performance, but through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful experiences. When children are given time, trust, and the right environment, learning happens deeply and joyfully.
Wonder Academy was created for families who want something different than traditional school — something more human, more connected, and more aligned with how children actually grow.

How We Learn

Play and Exploration
Children learn best when they are actively engaged. Through open-ended play, hands-on materials, and meaningful exploration, students build problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence — the foundations for lifelong learning.

Art, Nature & Creative Expression
Art and nature are not extras at Wonder Academy — they are essential. Children express ideas, process experiences, and deepen understanding through creative work and regular time outdoors.

Thoughtful Academics
Literacy and math are woven into real experiences and guided at each child’s developmental pace. We focus on understanding, curiosity, and confidence — not pressure or performance.

Why Families Choose Wonder Academy
Camille
My third grader has been there for pretty much three years. We tried public school for 3 months in 1st grade and everyday he was in tears, so went back to Wonder Academy and we will never try public school with him. The Staff is great; they will love your little one like their own.
Kyrsten
My third grader has been going since kindergarten and I have a first grader there as well. The Staff is phenomenal, and my kids absolutely love going to school. I love the smaller class sizes and the fact that they meet them at their level, so they don't get lost in the sauce.
M. Roush
Wonder Academy has been a blessing for our family. I knew that the public school system wasn't the answer. I wanted my child to love school and love learning. I have watched my child go from a kid who wouldn't even look up to thriving. The no test policy has been outstanding for my child; he can keep learning and soaking in all the information without the fear of disappointment of a test score.

Wonder Academy is a school first, with optional extended care available for working families.
What ages do you serve?
Students must turn 3 years old by September 1 of the school year (beginning June 1).
Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes. Children should be able to use the bathroom independently most of the time. We offer support when needed, but full-time toileting care is not provided.
Is Wonder Academy play-based or academic?
We are play-based with thoughtful academics. Learning happens through exploration, projects, art, stories, and hands-on experiences.
Do you follow state standards?
Yes. We align with Utah state standards while honoring individual development and pacing.
How do children learn to read, write, and do math?
Through rich literature, hands-on materials, small-group instruction, and real-world problem solving — not worksheets or test prep.
What if my child is ahead or behind?
Small class sizes allow us to meet children where they are, offering both extension and additional support as needed.
What is your behavior approach?
We focus on emotional regulation, clear expectations, and problem-solving rather than punishment.
What do you do about bullying?
Bullying behaviors are not allowed. We intervene early, support all children involved, and teach respectful communication.

Yes. Our elementary teachers hold bachelor’s degrees, and our preschool teachers are completing Reggio Emilia certification.
What does my child need to bring?
A water bottle, lunch (no kitchen on site), backpack, and a blanket for rest time if needed.
How much is tuition?
Tuition varies by age. Beginning June 1, all students are enrolled at a full-time tuition rate.
Can tuition be split into two payments?
Yes. Tuition may be split into two monthly payments and must be set up on auto-pay.
Do you have available spots?
Availability varies. We encourage families to join the waitlist.
Can my child return to public school later?
Wonder Academy is a very different learning environment. While transitions are possible, families should consider whether this approach aligns with their long-term goals.
